American Girl Elizabeth
The American Girl Elizabeth Cole doll is one that everyone seems to love. Elizabeth is the best friend of Felicity back in the colonial times. She is a very smart and fairly bashful 10 year old girl who is also growing up in Virginia in the town of Williamsburg. She knew what it was like to also live in Englans because her family moved to America from England in 1774.
One of the things that brought Elizabeth and Felicity together is their love of horses. They both love to ride the horses but Elizabeth wishes to be more like Felicity and to have her bravery, courage, and raw spunk. She has an older sister whose name is Annabelle and she is a little on the bossy side. You see, Annabelle's family were loyal to the King of England and did not think highly of the colonists who lived around her. Perhaps this is why Elizabeth was so timid and why she admired her best friend Felicity so much. The Elizabeth doll was added to the American Girl collection in 2005 and was the 10th historical girl added. Even though she is not a limited edition doll and goes right along with Felicity, this doll is endearing to many fans out there.

Elazabeth Cole, 1774
Elizabeth Cole the Loyalist American Girl Doll, also from the American
Revolution is a good friend of Felicity. The two seemed to have
gotten along with each other beyond a satisfactory level, and
frequently. The two were both girls of course and I'm sure that
helped them get along as well. Felicity actually happens to be a
patriot, that not being a good thing back then. The reason it isn't
too great is because that makes them on "opposing parties"
during this time of hostility and war. Although they were both just
"children", they still had to follow such a rule of thumb,
and especially in that day in age.
Contrary to Felicity,Elizabeth is actually a very shy girl. Her shy personality does show, and always remain visible. Although her personality may be much different than Felicity's, they both seemed to get along most of the time friend wise, and successfully. Although chemistry may have been hard to come by back in those days, especially with those hostile environments, they most likely still managed because they may have not had any other choice back then. Perhaps where the lived there wasn't many girls or boys their age, or sadly due to an amount of children or teen casualties.
Elizabeth created a book called "Very Funny, Elizabeth", a rather interesting book for almost any audience looking for a good book to read. Ultimately, here book was finally published in 1775 and then named "authentic" per say. This book made a rather large impact, and was based around how Elizabeth and Felicity teased Elizabeths snobby older sister. There was a strong concept that the older sister did actually deserve it anyway though. However, after a joke that they plot together goes wrong, Elizabeth is shipped back to her native
England.
Elizabeth the doll was introduced in August, 2005
when the character actually featured in the Felicity movie. As far as
the book illustrations go, Elizabeth could be described as having
dark eyes and very dark hair. An interesting thing to know is that
people were worried the dolls would look too similar to each other,
so they gave the Elizabeth doll Blue eyes and Blonde Hair. Lowering
speculation of such things was very helpful and reasonable since the
dolls had to of course, be original. Doing this of course, enabled
them to separate one from the other successfully. To enable the
opportunity to truly make sure everyone could tell the difference,
they made sure they redid her face as well with a completely
different mold upon creation. It's also recorded that the Elizabeth
dolls face was created with the same mold that was originally used
for Josefina.
